Import Duties, Taxes & Customs Clearance
In some cases, your destination country may charge VAT, GST, import duties, taxes, customs fees, or carrier handling fees. These additional charges are not included in the product price or shipping cost unless clearly stated at checkout, and are the responsibility of the recipient.
Because customs and tax policies vary widely from country to country, we are unable to predict or control these charges. If you have questions about possible import costs, we recommend contacting your local customs office before placing an order.
Customs clearance may be required for international shipments. If so, delays may occur and delivery may take longer than our estimated shipping time. Serene Orient is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing, local carriers, unpaid duties, or circumstances outside our control.
If a package is refused or returned because customs duties, taxes, or related fees were not paid, shipping fees are non-refundable. Any refund for the returned item will be processed according to our return policy after the package has been received and inspected.
Order Processing
Orders are usually processed within 2–5 business days after payment is confirmed. Orders placed on weekends or holidays are processed the next business day. You will receive an email confirmation with tracking information once your order ships.
Returns & Exchanges
Return Policy
We want you to love every piece. If you're not completely satisfied, you may return your purchase within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange, subject to the following conditions:
- Items must be unused, unworn, and in their original packaging
- All tags and certificates of authenticity must be included
- Incense products must be sealed and unopened
- Sale items and custom orders are final sale
How to Initiate a Return
Email us at support@sereneorient.com with your order number and reason for return. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect. Once we receive and inspect your returned item, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.
Exchanges
Need a different size or want to swap for another item? We offer free exchanges within 30 days. Contact us and we'll hold your replacement item while processing the return.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue. We'll arrange a replacement or full refund immediately, no return necessary.
